MARK HERR FOR LAKEWOOD CITY COUNCIL

A devastating motorcycle accident closed one chapter of my life and opened another—leading me to a renewed sense of purpose through community service and entrepreneurship.

I joined the Army in 2001 as an Infantryman and was honored to serve for nearly two decades alongside some of the most dedicated and selfless individuals I have ever known. After recovering from my accident, I successfully led two small businesses through the challenges of the pandemic—ensuring that more than 20 employees and their families had food on the table and the support they needed during a time of great uncertainty.

Today, I bring that same commitment, resilience, and servant’s heart to Lakewood. As a member of the Lakewood Planning Commission, I strongly advocate for transparency, accountability, and public input in every decision. I understand firsthand the pressures facing our community—from growing demands for public safety, to the need for sustainable infrastructure and essential community services.

Lakewood is at a pivotal moment. We can protect what makes our city unique while planning responsibly for the future. I will work tirelessly to ensure your voice is heard and your concerns are addressed.

Let’s build a safer, stronger, and more connected Lakewood—together!
